Anti-Bullying and Online Exchanges

An appeal to all users of the internet to be respectful in their exchanges towards one another at all times. And a reminder to parents allowing your children access to internet and online gaming should be age-appropriate ( this is the law) and supervised. Please remind your son of the Golden Rule to treat others the way we would like to be treated, with respect. If you wouldn't like it said or done to you, don't do it to others!

Remember the following grounds on which it is illegal to discriminate under the Equal Status Acts, 2004

  1. Gender: Male/ Female / Fluid
  2. Civil status: Single/Married/Divorced/ Separated etc
  3. Family status
  4. Age
  5. Race
  6. Religion
  7. Disability
  8. Sexual Orientation (Straight, Gay, Bi, Trans etc)
  9. Membership of the Traveller Community

Referring to any of these points abut somebody in a negative or derogatory way online or offline in reality are discrimination, illegal and bullying. These are always wrong and need to stop! Be aware of what can go on, help to stop it and help to resolve it.
